Olivia graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Honours. In her final year of university, she conducted an honours research project that primarily focused on trauma-informed approaches in the criminal justice system. This experience allowed her to contribute new knowledge to help positively grow the criminal justice system towards being more trauma-informed. For this project, she won the Undergraduate Research Excellence Award at the University of the Fraser Valley.
Olivia has obtained a variety of experience in different areas within the criminal justice system such as working at Correctional Service Canada, conducting research with the Compliance and Enforcement Secretariat, and working as a research assistant with a UFV professor where she researched the topic of victim-perpetrators. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, playing golf, watching movies, and spending time outside in general. Her future educational and career goals are to study and practice law and she is enthusiastic about any opportunity that provides her further knowledge and experience in that area.
